Our Story

Built by people who worked inside the institutions climate finance is meant to serve.

Oliver came to Janus from the Center for Climate Security in Washington, D.C., where he analyzed green development challenges across Latin America and the Caribbean, and from a decade managing software for the U.S. DoD at U.S. Southern Command. That combination gave him an unusual vantage point: the institutional constraints shaping how climate finance gets allocated, and the engineering discipline to act on them.

Climate Finance Intelligence was built in direct response to the challenges small-state DAEs face accessing critical funding. What was missing wasn't more AI — it was AI that understood the domain: that could speak to a Donor's evaluation criteria, trace every claim to a source, and integrate into institutional workflows without disrupting how practitioners work.

Why Janus

Most organizations know AI can help. We close the gap between that insight and a working system.

The problem isn't access to AI. It's knowing where it fits, what to build first, and how to get a cross-functional team to actually ship it. We identify high-value use cases, scope the technical requirements, and lead delivery — pairing frontier AI capability with deep sustainability and climate-finance domain expertise to build systems that catalyze real institutional workflows.

The Team

Domain fluency, frontier AI capability, and the program discipline to deliver.

What Practitioners Say

Trusted by the institutions doing the hardest work in climate finance.

We want to make it simple for external parties… if the entire process for them is simplified, then projects come to us faster. That is our technology — to make it to the review faster. So I’m glad that you are conquering the front for us because we don’t have time to conquer the front.

Senior Director, Multilateral Climate Fund

It would be wise to have such a tool in the initial assessment of concepts and in the final stage as well. Useful to project developers and private players — and other climate finance applicants with limited donor application experience.
